Far from the only aesthetic research, ARemy considers a canvas as a receptacle of emotions, those of the spectator but also those of the artist.
Inspired by nature and its play of lights, all the shapes, lines, colors that surround us and mingle with each other, she seeks to transcribe the emotions that emerge from them.
Furtive emotions that manifest and overlap in her painting and give all their depth and strength to her paintings.
When she starts a canvas, she doesn't know what it will look like when finished.
On large formats allowing an overflowing and limitless means of expression, in a succession of layers, the colors come and go, are superimposed, disappear in part, definitively or momentarily.
The material, generally worked with a knife, is stretched, scraped, caressed, in broad and energetic or light and tiny movements, to create contrasts, transparencies, shapes ... until arriving at a rare moment when harmony and balance come together .
" Each canvas starts from a desire for color linked to time, to a mood, to a meeting ... I am looking for spaces, from which emerge emotion, seriousness but also recklessness, spontaneity ... A perpetual quest for poetry, lightness and light. "
